This roadmap represents a deliberate commitment to expanding our long-term impact by building on the strong foundation that Engineers Without Borders Sweden has established over the years.

As we continue to evolve alongside the communities and partners we serve, we are strengthening our organization to ensure that Swedish engineering skills and expertise can create even greater value where they are needed most. Through this strategy, we are scaling our mission with increased intention, resilience, and sustainability.

Our Five Core Pillars for 2026–2028

To support our ambition of delivering high-quality and lasting impact, our new strategy reinforces our organizational foundation across five key areas:

  • Financial Resilience - Building a diversified and stable financial base that enables us to confidently sustain long-term international commitments and deepen our impact.

  • A Focused and Scalable Project Portfolio - Expanding our project portfolio while strengthening impact measurement across major initiatives to ensure meaningful and measurable outcomes.

  • An Engaged Engineering Community - Growing our network and creating even stronger pathways for professional engineers and students to contribute their expertise and drive change together.

  • A Recognized Voice in Humanitarian Engineering - Strengthening our technical leadership within Sweden to foster new partnerships, inspire action, and increase support for humanitarian engineering.

  • A Scalable and Future-Ready Organization - Further developing our governance, digital infrastructure, and knowledge-sharing practices to ensure continuity, collaboration, and excellence across all project teams.

Driven by Strategic Alignment

Looking ahead, we are investing in strong, collaborative, and sustainable ways of working that allow us to direct our resources where they can create the greatest long-term value. Our mission remains our guiding star:

Through humanitarian engineering, we engage, inspire, and unite people to build sustainable communities.

By strengthening how we operate, we enable our core values—Curiosity, Equality, Inclusivity, and Sustainability—to shine through even more clearly in every initiative we undertake.
